Privacy notice (POPIA)

What we collect

Name, contact details, delivery address, order history, payment status (not card numbers), device/cookie data.

Why

To process orders, deliver, provide support, meet tax/legal duties, prevent fraud, and (with consent) send marketing. Lawful basis: contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest, consent.

Sharing

Payment gateways, couriers, e-commerce/hosting and email providers, accountants, as operators bound by agreements. Some may process data outside South Africa; we ensure POPIA s72 safeguards. Our main operators are our payment providers (our bank for EFT payments, and PayFast once card payments go live), our delivery partners (The Courier Guy / PUDO lockers and PEP PAXI), our website and email host, and WhatsApp when you message us.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za). We do not knowingly collect children’s information; the site is for adult buyers.

Retention and security

Records kept as long as required by law (e.g. 5 years for tax/CPA records) then deleted. Reasonable technical safeguards applied. Breaches are notified per POPIA s22.

Direct marketing

Only with opt-in consent (POPIA s69); every message has an opt-out.
